Investment Banking Forum, The Four Seasons Hotel, Trinity Square

This distinguished Investment Event for 160 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Trinity Square last week, posed particular challenges for an event company.

Access to the main top floor conference room was via a narrow, tight corridor and a very small lift. The issue was how to physically transport all the equipment and stage sets into the venue. Timing was critical too. We were only able to gain access to the venue at 2 AM on the morning of the event and therefore had a limited time window to complete full build and set up.

In order to ensure the process ran smoothly, we made sure we had plenty of man power on site to manually lift kit and staging from truck to conference room. All our stage sets were cleverly customised so that they could be fully dismantled into small, manageable pieces and then reassembled in situ.

The full set up included a 3m rear projection screen and branded backdrops with led lighting strips. Client logos were printed onto vinyl cut outs in relief on the rear backdrop, registration desks and lecterns.

Thanks to the meticulous planning of our project management team and calm dedication of our crew on the ground the whole day ran without a hitch.

Invisalign Global Symposium

Invisalign Global Symposium on the Digital Practice, London

We were at the Grosvenor House Hotel this week delivering the ‘Invisalign Global Symposium on the Digital Practice’.

This two-day invitation event brings together over 400 of the world’s most experienced orthodontists to share their use of digital orthodontics.

Full set-up took our team two days. We used a wide range of cutting-edge equipment which included two 9m x 3.5m Absen Led screens, Novastar 4k processing and Barco E2 Image Management.

In addition to the main conference forums, a series of keynote and break-out sessions explored topics driving the evolution of digital orthodontics.  A highlight of the event was a glittering evening gala dinner at London’s V&A Museum. This provided a truly memorable backdrop against which delegates were able to relax and network with other professionals in their field.

The event was a huge success and First Network were delighted to have played a part.

Mercedes Benz World

Investment Banking Forum at Mercedes Benz World, Surrey

We were at Mercedes Benz World yesterday, delivering an event on behalf of a major investment banking client.

Located on the famous Brooklands site in Weybridge, Surrey, Mercedes Benz World offers a range of unforgettable driving experiences. Off the track there is plenty to see too, with three floors of attractions and exhibits. The venue is a fantastic and unusual event space which offers a full range of conference services. It was a distinctly different setting which provided the perfect mix of technology and atmosphere for our event.

First Network are delighted to announce the arrival of Shrenik Singhavi who joins our London team as Senior Account and Business Development Manager.
An experienced Event, Marketing & PR professional, Shrenik has a solid background in large-scale live and experiential events.  He has worked across a range of client industries – from corporate and financial through to large FMCG brands. This means he is uniquely placed to understand the requirements of existing and new clients from across a broad spectrum of disciplines.

Shrenik will be working both on existing client accounts and also helping to identify future business opportunities.  A charismatic and vibrant addition to the team, we’re delighted to have him on board.

Barco Shape It Show It

Barco On Tour "Shape It. Show It" Comes to First Network

This Friday, the 26th of April, Barco On Tour will be bringing their “Shape It. Show It” roadshow to our very own offices in West London.

The roadshow will visit cities across Europe between April and June of this year showcasing some of Barco’s latest innovations. Barco’s state of the art tour truck was launched at the Prolight and Sound Show in Germany earlier this month and will be touring Europe through Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK, Poland, the Czech Republic, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

The tour will stop at nearly 50 events between April and the end of June.

New products being demoed by Barco will include:

  • Single-chip laser projectors for a wide range of market segments, the G60-series and the brighter F80
  • The brightest 4K laser projector under 100kg, the UDX 4K40
  • An all new mid-level laser 3 chip DLP projector in sneak preview before its official launch
  • Direct View LED tiles ranging from 0.9 to 1.9mm pixel pitches suitable for many indoor applications, the XT series
  • Rigiflex: The powerwall you can roll up
  • UniSee: seamless LCD video walls with bezel-less viewing and an innovative mounting system
  • The newest Clickshare CSE-200+: Multi-user 4K collaboration

The whole show will be handled by Barco image processing solutions.

Charlotte Threadwell

First Network Welcomes Charlotte Threadwell as Projects Co-ordinator

First Network are delighted to announce new starter Charlotte Threadwell, who joins our London Team in the role of Projects Co-ordinator.

Charlotte has a strong background in event co-ordination and PR, gained primarily within the beauty and cosmetics industry.
She has also worked in creative event styling for catering and has a keen eye for the aesthetic.

Charlotte said: I am really looking forward to building on my experience and embracing the challenges of a project management role. It’s great to be part of the team.

2019 off to a flying start for First Network

First Network hit the ground running this January, delivering two fantastic events in the first week of the New Year.

The first was a large Investment Conference, held in Dublin’s luxury Conrad Hotel.

The same week saw another First Network team at The Corinthia Hotel in London, where we provided technical production on behalf of our client MIP Events.

Both events were a huge success and set the tone for what promises to be an exciting year for First Network.

Awards Dinner

Glotel Awards 2018 at The Montcalm Hotel, London

First Network delivered AV production for this glittering awards dinner  event at London’s prestigious Montcalm Hotel.

The Global Telecoms Awards recognise innovation from any company involved in advancing and transforming today’s telecoms industry. This includes service providers, vendors, solutions providers, consultancies and anything in between.

Now in its 6th year, the awards have become a highlight of the telecoms calendar. Winners of 14 categories  were announced at a stunning gala dinner on Thursday 8 November. The event was hosted by award-winning stand-up, writer and performer Russell Kane.

Well done to all involved on delivering a hugely successful evening.

Action for Children Entertainment Quiz of the Year

Action for Children Entertainment Quiz of the Year

First Network were at the Action for Children Entertainment Quiz of the Year last week. The annual fundraiser was held at the stunning Plaisterers Hall in the heart of the City of London. Hosts included presenters Luke Franks and Danni Menzies and the event was sponsored by Sony DADC.

CEO of Action for Children, Julie Bentley opened the event. She presented the work of the charity and described how the funds raised are used to support vulnerable children living in the UK.

The Entertainment Quiz pitches teams from the UK’s largest entertainment companies against each other. It is a battle of wits, intellect and sheer luck and the crown this year went to NBC Universal.

It really is an unforgettable event which last year raised over £120,000 for Action for Children. First Network were so pleased to have been able to play a small part.

JW Marriott Resort Venice

EMEA Leadership Event JW Marriott Resort & Spa, Venice

Our team was in the beautiful city of Venice last week, delivering an internal Leadership Event for a Global Investment Client.

Venue, The JW Marriott Venice resort and Spa.

100 of the company’s leaders from across the EMEA region came together for the conference, so the venue needed to be little bit special.

Secluded on its own private island– Isola delle Rose – yet a quick boat ride from St. Mark’s Square, the JW Marriott Resort, Venice boasts beautiful gardens with breath-taking views of the Venice skyline. An on-site conference centre offers a variety of room options. The main event took place in the spectacular Venezia Ballroom, with delegates moving to smaller meeting rooms for breakout sessions.


We used a High Definition Absen LED wall centre stage. This was built to a size of 10.5m x 3m and put onto raised staging to a height of 2m to ensure all delegates had a clear view. An informal seating style with comfortable chairs and coffee tables gave a relaxed feel, designed to encourage audience participation.

Between presentations delegates divided into small groups for breakout sessions. Armed with flipcharts and pens, the groups were given time to discuss and generate ideas. Each group had a hand held mic with which to present their thoughts back to the wider floor.


Working on a private island was wonderful – but inevitably not without it’s complications. First Network provided all the AV equipment for the event, every piece of which had to be brought in by barge. Our 45ft artic truck was loaded in our West London Warehouse, driven overnight to Italy and then floated onto the Isola Rosse by boat. We had to allow extra time to take account of the rise and fall of the local tides – something of a novelty for our Northolt logistics crew.

Leadership Event Delegates were accommodated at the venue itself and enjoyed a series of team-building and networking activities, including evening drinks at the rooftop bar and a scavenger hunt around the city.

The event was a huge success. We thoroughly enjoyed working in this fabulous city and would like to congratulate all those involved.
